There are presently two doodles at the San Diego County Shelter who were strays.  They are not up for adoption yet; strays have to be kept for a minimum time before they are adopted out.

I am posting this in case anyone knows of a lost pair of doodles.

I was found in zip code 92108. I'm a neutered male BROWN LABRADOR RETR/POODLE STANDRD. I'm in the San Diego Region shelter. I entered the shelter on 7/9/2012. My ID number is A1192013, My necktag number is C153, and My kennel number is C006. My age is 6 YEARS. My weight is 88 lbs.

I tried to look them up using the shelter url and couldn't find either one.

Nancy - you have to look them up on their "Lost" list since they are not up for adoption. We will be watching them to hopefully take them in to foster if their owner does not come. The shelter does have the owners information and so they will be kept for a full week with attempts to find the owner. They look well cared for and will likely be reunited I think.

Thanks; I should have seen that....  They are both beautiful. I hope their owners are looking for them.

I hope they are reunited. If not, we likely could foster or adopt. Please keep us informed. We, too, will stay in touch, and on the SD site, but as we are travelling til Sunday, we may not be able to stay in close touch. Thank you.

Richard - your email didn't come to me and I can't find these doodles - maybe they've been picked up already?
