Permalink Reply by Cailyn Michael Krembs on October 6, 2011 at 12:58pm Well, I have been keeping a close eye on Barkley... I could have sworn I saw a post stating he was at his forever home? Is that true? Otherwise I would LOVE to adopt him.
Also, I love all of them !!!!! I would love to adopt Cassidi if I was not able to adopt Barkley.
Permalink Reply by Jaime Gonzalez on October 6, 2011 at 3:55pm I also read that he had been adpoted, but haven't been able to verify that fact. We are also interested in adopting him, but as Judy stated as long as he gets a great home that is what is most important. Good luck to all and especially Barkley!

The only way to be considered for any dogs in our program is to submit an application and then wait to be contacted. Due to the volume of applications we receive, only those applicants who are the best matches for a particular dog will be contacted. Often, while you may be a good match, we are already in the process of working with a previous applicant.
The demand for these dogs in rescue far exceeds the number available, so it may take awhile to be chosen as an adopter, regardless of how good a home you can offer. Therfore, we always have good applicants for any given dog who are not chosen, simply because there may be 5 good applicants and one dog.
In that case, your application is kept on file. If you subsequently see a dog in the program for whom you would like to be considered, you can simple state that in an e-mail to adoption@doodlerescuecollectiveinc.org
It is not necessary to reapply.
Please read our Policies and Procedures (under the About DRC tab in the blue area at the top of the page) for more info.
Also take note of the dogs foster locations. You must be willing to drive to the dog's foster location and bring him home yourself if you are chosen as the adopter. Except in extremely rare instances, we will not permit a dog to be commercially shipped, even at the adopter's expense, as this is not in the dog's best interests.
