Labradoodle Rescue & Goldendoodle Rescue

Please welcome Smokey, a 2 yr old black labradoodle to the DRC adoptable doodles!  He is approximately 60 lbs, and appears to be a non-shedder.  We picked him up on Saturday as a owner surrender. He is a loving boy who just wants to have attention and activity We didn't have to groom him, he came this way!   He has a long bushy tail, that is so expressive.

He jumped right into our pack on Sat night, running and doing the doodle romp with Bailey and Bella. He is house trained and crate trained. He does know how to sit, shake and walk on a leash. He is from a breeder in MD ( I have that info for the forever family). He will be vetted this week and microchipped.

He is so sweet and has captured our hearts already. He seems to be a calm dog, not aggressive with other dogs on walks or children. I think he needs a home with 2 doods, for the exercise and companionship.  Stay tuned for more updates.

He is SO beautiful!
HI! I was attempting to get more info on adopting Smokey when he was with Second Hope Rescue! He certainly is a popular fellow and with good reason. The minute I heard where he had gone, I too, filled out an application for adoption. Robin Shay
He is adorable! I love black doodles, but it sounds to me like he may move from fostered to adopted without ever leaving you! There are so many cute, wonderful doodles out there, just waiting for DRC to save them!
Smokey appears to be another great rescue by the DRC. We, too, have submitted an application as we live about 30 minutes from Smokey now. He sounds like a popular guy and I'm sure he'll go to a great home.
Saw Smokey today online and also got my application together! This is a wonderful website--we have an 18 month australian labradoodle who would LOVE Smokey. He's a lucky boy to have so many people who want him.
Smokey is beautiful and looks like a giant teddy bear!!! You are great!!
Well, we only had Smokey for 2 weeks, and fell in love with him. What a sweet, loving precious spirit he has! He was adopted on Saturday 10/30, 1 day before his 2nd birthday by Peggy and Jim from NYC! They have a Irish Doodle named Henry, and now Smokey has a new brother and wonderful forever family!
We took our last picture as a family together and I think Smokey knew he was leaving me, so he kept giving me doodlekisses! Here is Natalya with him for his last hug.

Congratulations Peggy and Jim, please keep us updated on Smokey's new life!

Congratulations to Peggy and Jim! It seems like everyone loved Smoky. You must be excited to welcome him into your home!
Where is he locaated

We would like to consider Smokey for addoption.  Our application is on file, and we had a turndown by Coal in NJ.
