We've chosen a Doodle for several reasons:
Smart and friendly
Beautiful animals
Want to train for AAT work
Will be a good fit for our home (low allergy risk)
Are you now involved in Rescue? If so, how? Are you interested in volunteering with our rescue?
Our cat is a rescue and had a really good experience adopting him. We believe in giving an animal a chance for a good life in a loving home.

Help finding a Mini

Posted on April 19, 2011 at 5:31pm 17 Comments

We are interested in adopting a mini Golden or Labradoodle. We're up on most of the issues concerning bringing an adopted Doodle into our family. We are keeping an eye on the available DRC Doodles and would appreciate any help in finding the right animal. We have a well behaved mellow cat we adopted and are in love with who makes regular visits to a hospice as part of the SPCA Animal Assisted Therapy program and hope to do the same with our future Doodle.

I know you are pretty far away from Georgia, but my friend Frannie has a foster named Yankee.  He's about 10 months old but is on the small side and has a wonderfully soft wire coat (it looks like it would be wire but soooo soft).  Any way I see Yankee at our dog park every day.  He is so affectionate and loving for a puppy.  He will make someone a wonderful pet without the size that usually goes with labradoodles.  If you don't think Georgia is too far to come to get a dog, please consider him.  I have 2 dogs already, but he would make a wonderful third.
