"Frannie, Calle does look a lot like Baxter. How funny. Well we know there not related but you're right, they sure could be! Calle is a good size. Baxter is just a big boy but that's why we chose him. He's my big 95 lb. Teddy bear."
"Hi Adrianne. You had sent me a comment asking for pictures of Baxter, my black doodle. I have just posted some pictures of him on my page. I am excited to be a part now of this wonderful group and I'm looking forward to making friends here and…"
I'm married, have one daughter who is 23, two cats and our doodle. I work for a surgeon 3 days a week in Scottsdale and play golf with my husband when the weather is not to hot. We do live in AZ so that becomes a factor. We do love it here though. We are originally from NC.
Tell us about your dog(s) and/or other pets that you have:
Our doodle's name is Baxter. He was born December 2006. We bought him from a reputable breaded we found on Goldendoodle.com here in AZ. He was the largest and most laid back of the whole litter and has been the love of our life for almost 4 years now. He weights 95 lbs. And he's all muscle. We live on a golf course so his excerise consists of a 3.5 mile walk every morning and 30 to 45 mins worth of chasing the ball in the evenings. He's also loved by everyone in our neighborhood and has a toy box and treats at everyones house on the street. When we go out of town our neighbors keep him as they lost their dog 2 years ago and haven't replaced him. Baxter is their adopted son when we are out of town. Baxter is a solid black doodle and does not shed. He is classified as an F1B doodle and gets along with everyone. He is the smarts dog we've ever had. He loves our 2 cats and they play a lot. He is more like our child than our dog. He is leash trained as well as off leash trained and was house broken in 2 weeks.
Have you read our adoption policies?
He was bought from a breeder here in AZ that we located through the reputable breeders list on Goldendoodle.com. We were able to meet both parents. We chose a doodle because our favorite breed is a Golden Retriever but due to my husbands allergies, we had to make exceptions and this was a perfect match. Our cats are rescue kittys and I had them before we married so that already pushes the allergy issue as far as I can.
Are you now involved in Rescue? If so, how?
I am not involved in rescue work other than up until our doodle, all of my other pets have always been rescue animals. I don't have a specific reason for being here other than I was interested in what it's all about to be involved in some way.
