"When I met Connor, he was that same kind of scary skinny -- you could see all his ribs and his hip bones (he was only 3 1/2 months old). It is amazing what lots of love and good food can do. I'm sure these sweet babies will find a forever home…"

Tell us about yourself and how we might help you:
I work with dogs every day in a dog bakery/high end boutique. That's where I first met doodles and fell in love.
I meet a lot of ppl over the course of the week and hope I might possibly be able to direct them to this site to help them find a doodle. :-)
Tell us about your doodle(s) and/or other pets that you have:
We have two doodles. A 2 yr old F1 goldendoodle named Connor who was a puppy mill rescue @ 13 weeks old. He is the sweetest dog with the best h eart you could ever imagine. He's also a therapy dog. Our other doodle is an 11 month old Australian Labradoodle named Simon. He is a little cutie pie, funny, sweet and he and Connor are like 2 peas in a doodle pod. Simon is working on his obedience training and will be starting Advanced later this month (5/10) with hopes of him possibly becoming a therapy dog, too. Skylar is our 8 yr old rough coat collie. He is pretty good with the doodles, but is experiencing some health problems. :-( We also have 2 indoor cats - a little Maine Coon and a tiny tortie with a big attitude!
Where did you get your doodle(s) and/or why you have chosen a doodle
Connor was rescue and Simon was from a breeder.
Are you now involved in Rescue? If so, how? Tell us a bit as to why you are here:
I have worked on some non-doodle breed rescues - able to get them pulled from kill shelters and placed with breed organizations/foster care. The woman who started our doodle group and I have been trying to get a foster network started, but have had little response.

I feel the same way you do about doodles - it is my forever breed choice. As much as I love my Springer, I won't get another one.  They are just too high energy for our lifestyle nowadays.  Ned is also charming. He is not normally a cuddler but he is pushy wanting the attention, but only because another dog might get it.... He is three, so I guess it isn't going to happen for him.

I am everywhere aren't I.  Are both Simon and Connor doing therapy work?  I think when I retire I would really enjoy doing this with Ned or Clancy. Although I don't think Ned is suited to it, Clancy, with work, might be.
