Problem Solved!

Dugan no longer jumps the fence!!! I got an estaimate on a new fence, one tall enough to keep him in was not in my budget, so I purchased a Radio Fence and it works like a charm, in fact I believe Dugan was trained for this type of fence by his previous owner because he knew exactly what to do in regards to avoiding the flags! He hasn't left the yard since I turned on the transmitter! Dugan is such a magnificent dog, I just can't imagine why anyone would give him up. We are so lucky to have…See More

Tell us about yourself and how we might help you:
I am a Registered Nurse, single, and I own my own home that has large fenced in yard. I have had pets all my life. I very recently lost my beloved Yorkie, that I got from a rescue 3 years ago, "Thomas" was spending the night at my sisters house, because I was out of town, Thomas found a way out of her fenced in yard and was killed by a hit and run driver. I want to adopt a Golden/ Labra Doodle.
Tell us about your doodle(s) and/or other pets that you have:
Prior to Thomas I had "Little" a Yorkie for 8 years. He was my best friend until he devleoped renal failure and died, I currently have no pets.
Where did you get your doodle(s) and/or why you have chosen a doodle
I am considering getting a Doodle because a friend of mine has an F1b Golden Doodle that I have fallen in love with. He is in my profile picture, his name is Sam.
Are you now involved in Rescue? If so, how? Tell us a bit as to why you are here:
I am not involved with a rescue, but would like to be. I refuse to get a pet from a breeder, there are too many beautiful animals in shelters and rescue that are in need of forever homes!

My boy can jump the fence! I was hoping he wouldn't be able to but this morning I let him out and when I went to let him back in, he was across the street in the neighbors yard I called for him, he came running and leaped effortlessly back into the yard ! I was just sick! The fence I have is about  4 ft high. Anyone have any suggestions other get a new fence???

I adopted Dugan from P.A.W.S. rescue in Greenfield IN last Saurtday! He is 2 1/2 years old and weighs in at a wopping 77 pounds of pure love! It's hard to tell from his picture but he is lavendar in color. I could not ask for a better dog! Dugan formerly know as Arait (what kind of name is that???) is completely house broke, walks nicely on a leash, has very good doggy manners and knows some basic commands such as sit, down, shake and high five! (yes his high five is different from his…

Karen, welconme to DRC.  My little brother went to Vincennes for school, so I have been down your way a couple of times.

I have 2 doodles (1 was adopted from DRC) so I would be glad to answer any of your questions.
