Where are you located?
Reno, NV
Tell us about yourself and how we might help you:
I am looking for a labradoodle that can retrieve and may have had some training as a service dog and failed their testing. My beloved lab of 13 years and10 month just passed. For the last 13 year and7 months he has brought my paper in every day. I trained him in 3 days to do that task and he was able to understand and bring me the toy I wanted. I live on an acre of land, and the entire back is in chain link. Our back yard is completely secure, unless the dog can jump over six feet. All gate have locks as our lab, Chase could open a fence.
Tell us about your dog(s) and/or other pets that you have:
We have a rescued cat that was found homeless and starving in your front yard. He was living under some juniper bushes and my guess is that he was dumped and one his own for quite some time. I was able to slowly get the lab and cat to accept
ekach other, so I need a dog that likes cats& will not chase him.
Have you read our adoption policies?
My Labrador, Chase, was an exceptional dog. He was black and shed constantly. I have meet several labradoodles & golden doodles, and would like to find either one that fits my needs. I need a dog that can be trained not to pull on the leash while I am walking him, as I have had 4 knee replacements, and I would like to find a dog that I could train or have trained as a therapy dog. I would like to work with a dog and autistic children. That is why I am looking know. I qualify sor a service dog, but it is at least a 2 year what. I can't wait that long, I live dogs to much. Our cat is only a part-time indoor cat, he prefers the outdoors, but does sleep with me most nights. Our animals are free to enter the house most of the time without human help, so they can go to throe back yard as the please.
Are you now involved in Rescue? If so, how? Are you interested in volunteering with our rescue?
No, I am trying to volunteer with our church, in an effort to feet the hungry.
