Tell us about yourself and how we might help you:
I was a volunteer with the Power Paws organization where I was trained to train Golden Retreivers and Golden Doodles to become assistance dogs for handicapped and wheelchair clients. I currently have a GoldenDoodle who did not pass the tough test of Power Paws. I guess he just wanted to be a regular dog. I think it would benefit me and Hank to help out a Golden Doodle that needs a good home that will provide the dog with lots of love and attention and care that he deserves.
Tell us about your doodle(s) and/or other pets that you have:
Hank is a Golden Doodle that is 6 years old that was being trained by voluteers in the Power Paws organization. Hank was trained at about 7 weeks old until 2.5 years to learn about 60 cammands. He was to assist a client that was handicapped. Unfortunantly having four different trainers during his training time did not help him I was the final volunteer and he just did not make the cut. But I love him to death he is an extension of me.
Where did you get your doodle(s) and/or why you have chosen a doodle
Again I was a volunteer with the Power Paws organization and they used Golden Retriever and Golden Doodles for their puppies to be trained to become assitance dogs for clients. I never knew about this breed of dog I just fell into it and now I love them.
Are you now involved in Rescue? If so, how? Tell us a bit as to why you are here:
Would love to help any organization that rescues Golden Doodles. It is a wonderful thing to rescue any of our small friends in need.
