Yearly costs to properly care for even a healthy doodle (including the extensive grooming requirements) typically run more than $2000 per dog. :)

Hi Susan, welcome to the DRC website.

The dog you saw on the Lost & Found site has indeed been taken into our program, but is not available for adoption at this time, and we have no other information available. I do know that the dog needed extensive vetting.

Rescue and adoption are not meant to be ways for people to avoid paying breeders' prices. And new fosters must successfully foster for our rescue at least twice before they are eligible to adopt one of our dogs. However, we are always in need of good experienced foster homes in the Midwest.
