Meet Cooper NorCal's newest adoptable doodle!

Cooper is a sweet and happy 7 year old neutered male Goldendoodle available for adoption in northern CA/NV.

His furever home will need mature, dog savvy adults and he'd love an older doggy brother or sister. He's been with us just a short time but fit in perfectly with our pack and is a well behaved and cooperative pack member.

He will need leash training but he knows his basic obedience commands and is quick to adapt to new routines.

He's a…

Better Than A Superbowl Commercial

Please let your friends know about this commercial on the Academy Awards as so many people record shows to avoid the commercials.  This little dog, probably Maltese/Terrier mix was rescued from the Devore, California Shelter in San Bernardino.  This is definitely a high kill shelter.

This is a heartwarming story and hopefully will gain interest for rescue dogs...

BTW:  The Westminster Kennel…

Casper- ADOPTED!

Meet Casper! A 20 month old labradoodle available for adoption in Jacksonville, FL. He was an owner surrender to DRC because he was "too much". Turns out poor Casper was spending most of his day stuck in a crate and therefore was a bit out of control when he was out of his crate-- wouldn't you be? Now that he has been at his foster home he has finally settled and every day he gets better and better! His foster mom says he is extremely loving! He has not been crated since his foster mom is…

NY Charlie

Meet NY Charlie; he's a beautiful, sweet 16 month old, 60 lb. F1b lavender labradoodle.  Charlie came to us 3 weeks ago and we have learned a lot from this boy.  He loves to play, play, and then play some more; he is a master fetcher, seeker, finder, retriever and he will do this over and over again.  He is a big…

Oliver! 8 month old mini Labradoodle available for adoption in Lake Tahoe CA. ADOPTED!

Oliver is a 28 lb. mini Labradoodle that was originally purchased from a man outside a fast food restaurant by a family with 3 children under the age of 5. Like all puppies Oliver had razor sharp teeth and nails and like all puppies loved to bite, taste, and chew on anything and anyone that came within reach. This perfectly normal behavior soon landed Oliver in the back yard where he stayed for 4 months until his owner decided to sell him on Craigslist.

Luckily a nice couple…

Meet Carson - Medium Size Goldendoodle in Northern California

Carson was found wandering the streets of San Francisco until one of the shelter volunteers captured and rescued him. Unfortunately, his hair was so dirty and matted, that he had to be completely shaved to the skin.  After three weeks in the shelter, he was released to my husband and I on October 21st.  In the three weeks he has been in our home, he has come a very long way.  Initially terrified of loud noises and vehicles passing by, he is now calmly walking along the roadside in a…

Meet Shep - a gorgeous boy just coming into the program!

Meet Shep - a beautiful 13 month old goldendoodle boy who has recently come into the DRC program.  Shep is a wonderful boy who, like most doodle puppies, loves attention and needs dedicated time for play, exercise and grooming.  While he is currently living in New York City, he would love to have room to run and play.

Shep's family loves him dearly and is devastated to be giving him up but they realize with three young children and living in the city, he isn't getting…

It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to watch this video with Elsie on my lap,  Both dogs come when…

Meet Louie - one of DRC's newest foster doodles

Mr. Louie is a ten month old doodle puppy who has unfortunately had two homes already in his short life.  He is a typical doodle puppy - needing lots of attention and room to run!  He shared his last home with five other dogs and no fenced yard for him to play in and the poor guy just wanted room to play.

Since he arrived at his foster home he has had lots of room to run with his foster brothers.  He had a look of pure joy when he first got off leash and could run around all…

Meet Oscar, 3 year old Aussie Doodle in SoCal

Oscar has just come into a foster home in LA, rescued from a shelter as a "lost" dog found wandering the streets.

Despite this rough luck his foster mom reports that he is very friendly with a sweet nature, fully housebroken, knows a few basic command but will need leash training.

Oscar is 36 lbs. and neutered and really looks like a love bug!

With a fresh haircut:…

Meet Max! An adorable 11 month old vizsla-poodle mix that was surrendered to the local animal services because his family did not have the time for him. Personally, I think Max was an outdoor dog. He craves being close to his family but at the same time isn't overly clingy. He already learned sit and is getting better good with "down". He is crate trained 100% now and will go in there during the day when I am home to sleep! Max is learning potty manners however he has had only two accidents…

Met Shiloh! A gorgeous I believe probably F1B chocolate labradoodle that is just  simply to die for. Shiloh and his friend Hannah were pulled from the local animal services in Orlando, Florida where they were brought in as strays. After his stray hold was up DRC pulled them and they got the full treatment -- a haircut he desperately needed, neutered and a trip to the vet to check him out. Turns out Shiloh is heartworm positive but the vet recommended the slow kill method since he's not a…

Through the combined efforts of Doodle Rescue Collective, Inc. folks, we have saved another doodle from euthanasia.  Bentley, a beautiful (photos coming soon) dark Labradoodle was pulled from the Agoura, California shelter where he was scheduled for euthanasia.

He is being driven South by DRC, Inc. volunteers and I will pick him up today somewhere north of my home (at a point yet to be determined) and bring him to stay with us until he can find a furever home for him.
