Labradoodle Rescue & Goldendoodle Rescue
Oliver is a 28 lb. mini Labradoodle that was originally purchased from a man outside a fast food restaurant by a family with 3 children under the age of 5. Like all puppies Oliver had razor sharp teeth and nails and like all puppies loved to bite, taste, and chew on anything and anyone that came within reach. This perfectly normal behavior soon landed Oliver in the back yard where he stayed for 4 months until his owner decided to sell him on Craigslist.
Luckily a nice couple…Continue

He knows sit and is working on other commands. He has the COOLEST markings. He is so so loving. He lived with a small human before. He doesn't jump on people or countersurf. He has shown no aggression towards food, toys etc. He knows his name and will come when called. He is an owner surrender because…Continue
Carson was found wandering the streets of San Francisco until one of the shelter volunteers captured and rescued him. Unfortunately, his hair was so dirty and matted, that he had to be completely shaved to the skin. After three weeks in the shelter, he was released to my husband and I on October 21st. In the three weeks he has been in our home, he has come a very long way. Initially terrified of loud noises and vehicles passing by, he is now calmly walking along the roadside in a…Continue
Meet Buddy a 6 year old F1 black goldendoodle currently being fostered in Miami, FL! He is approximately 65lbs of total love! He needs work walking nicely on a leash and to stop jumping on people when excited but he learns quick! Buddy is craving human attention and wants to be with his people but needs to be the only dog, after all, he deserves to be spoiled ;-). He is GORGEOUS that's for sure :) …Continue
Meet Shep - a beautiful 13 month old goldendoodle boy who has recently come into the DRC program. Shep is a wonderful boy who, like most doodle puppies, loves attention and needs dedicated time for play, exercise and grooming. While he is currently living in New York City, he would love to have room to run and play.
Shep's family loves him dearly and is devastated to be giving him up but they realize with three young children and living in the city, he isn't getting…Continue
Hope For Paws has produced a YouTube Video on the rescue of Elmer and Elsie from a scrap metal yard in Compton California. Eldad Haggar and Lisa Arturo rescued these two dogs and Judy and I are fostering them.
The video has been viewed over 125,000 times in the two days it has been online.
It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to watch this video with Elsie on my lap, Both dogs come when…Continue
Mr. Louie is a ten month old doodle puppy who has unfortunately had two homes already in his short life. He is a typical doodle puppy - needing lots of attention and room to run! He shared his last home with five other dogs and no fenced yard for him to play in and the poor guy just wanted room to play.
Since he arrived at his foster home he has had lots of room to run with his foster brothers. He had a look of pure joy when he first got off leash and could run around all…Continue
Oscar has just come into a foster home in LA, rescued from a shelter as a "lost" dog found wandering the streets.
Despite this rough luck his foster mom reports that he is very friendly with a sweet nature, fully housebroken, knows a few basic command but will need leash training.
Oscar is 36 lbs. and neutered and really looks like a love bug!
With a fresh haircut:…Continue
I just received a very welcome email from Ken Haworth saying, "I hope you remember Coco, I love this dog!" It had a short video attached which I don't know how to attach. We had fostered Coco until that wonderful doodle was adopted by the Haworths...
Meet Max! An adorable 11 month old vizsla-poodle mix that was surrendered to the local animal services because his family did not have the time for him. Personally, I think Max was an outdoor dog. He craves being close to his family but at the same time isn't overly clingy. He already learned sit and is getting better good with "down". He is crate trained 100% now and will go in there during the day when I am home to sleep! Max is learning potty manners however he has had only two accidents…Continue
Sully met his furever mom, Olga, and doodle sister, Chloe, tonight and it was love at first sight all around. They will stop by tomorrow to pick up Sully for the drive to his furever home in Tucson. We will miss that wonderful boy but, we are thrilled about the quality of his new home...…Continue
Olga, Sully's furever mom is driving from Tucson, AZ to our home in Escondido, CA, today to pick up Sully. She is bringing Sully's, to-be, doodle sister, Chloe, to meet Sully.
We are excited about Sully finding a furever home but, it is a bittersweet feeling because we have grown to love his wonderful doodle who has lived with us for the past couple of months.
Winnie is settling in Virginia. Just over 2 weeks ago we made the trip out to Indianapolis and scooped Winnie up to come home. Since then, she's been quite busy. We stayed at the Westin Columbus which is very pet friendly and we highly recommend…Continue
Met Shiloh! A gorgeous I believe probably F1B chocolate labradoodle that is just simply to die for. Shiloh and his friend Hannah were pulled from the local animal services in Orlando, Florida where they were brought in as strays. After his stray hold was up DRC pulled them and they got the full treatment -- a haircut he desperately needed, neutered and a trip to the vet to check him out. Turns out Shiloh is heartworm positive but the vet recommended the slow kill method since he's not a…Continue
Through the combined efforts of Doodle Rescue Collective, Inc. folks, we have saved another doodle from euthanasia. Bentley, a beautiful (photos coming soon) dark Labradoodle was pulled from the Agoura, California shelter where he was scheduled for euthanasia.
He is being driven South by DRC, Inc. volunteers and I will pick him up today somewhere north of my home (at a point yet to be determined) and bring him to stay with us until he can find a furever home for him.
Met Bella! An adorable 11 month old most likely F1 goldendoodle that is sure to steal your heart! She is currently 46 lb and a light shedder. Bella was rehomed because her family traveled too much. She is truly an amazing dog. She knows sit, down and will give you paw (both paws actually, I can say this paw and point to right one and she gives me that one). She is crate trained but honestly I don't think she needs it (she loves her crate though and will sleep in it throughout the night with…Continue
So yesterday was our first 4th of July with Ruby. Since she was a re-home we got in November (typical kids, no time, blah blah blah) we had no idea how she would be, I mean she was okay with thunder storms but one never wants to assume all other big scary noises will be okay. Well she did absolutely great!!! First clue was we went to the beach to watch the fireworks and I put her in her kennel and gave her a special treat and a special toy. Our 78 year old aunt lives with us and when we…Continue
Sully (Sullivan) is a wonderful seven and a half year old Goldendoodle whose owners did not want him. They tried to turn him into the San Diego Animal Control Shelter but they were told that the shelter was full and would only accept aggressive dogs for euthanization. The (expletives deleted) owners said, "O.K. he's aggressive, kill him!"
Buddy is a 1 YO M/n Australian Labradoodle that we took into our home last week for fostering & training. Buddy and his sister Scout were left in a backyard for a year, he had no contact outside his immediate family and no obedience training whatsoever.
Despite a rough start he is a friendly and very intelligent little guy with stunning green eyes! He is very shy with strangers but not unfriendly or aggressive. Even though he never lived indoors he is housebroken due to…Continue
