Labradoodle Rescue & Goldendoodle Rescue
We pulled Rio from a kill shelter in Hialeah. He was scared out of his mind and had been labeled un-adoptable. There was something in his eyes that told me that was not true.Jimmy the dog trainer from a local Pet co confirmed that he was frightened and not aggressive. Rio is a D.I.N.O.S....a dog in need of space. He was a terrified matted mess... And he was heart worm positive.
We got him home and kept him separated from my other doodle to allow him to de-stress. I played…Continue
Meet our new foster Bailey! This poor guy has had a pretty rough life but you wouldn't know it after meeting him. I look forward to finding this big goofball the furever home he deserves. …Continue
I filled out the application November 22, 2013, and when I enter my page I can see my details. Did I do it wrong?
I am looking at adopting a labraddoodle in the GA, NC,MS,AL SC or Florida area...
Eight years ago this week, the person who bought JD from a pet store as a puppy left him at a shelter and never came back.
The reasons he was relinquished were vague. Something about a job change, I was told.
I was also told that the man carried JD (who was 14 months old and weighed 69…Continue
I'm a bit curious. Whose photo is being used in the banner at the top of the page?
Little Miss Molly is slowly coming out of her shell. She slept for pretty much 36 hrs straight when we first got her, but has now started following me around the house and has even showed a little interest in toys. She does love the dog beds and the couch and due to her deafness, really enjoys a long deep nap!
Even though Molly seems to be pretty much completely deaf, we decided to change her name just in case she might have some hearing left. Michele Long suggested…Continue
Molly arrived at our door step yesterday, thanks to the wonderful efforts of Ned Clancy who sprung Molly from a local shelter. Molly was microchipped, her owner was contacted, but shockingly, her owner left Molly to die in the shelter. Thanks to the efforts of DRC, Molly WILL have a happy ending!
This poor little lamb was covered in mats, soaked in urine and had feces matted in her paws and fur. The first order of business was taking her in to the clinic to shave off the mats…Continue
Bogey spent his first 5 years trapped in a back yard in the Central Valley of California where it rarely snows more than a dusting. This past week we took Bogey and his foster brothers and sister to be groomed since all were looking a bit shaggy and on that day we had our first real snowfall of the winter, about 6". Bogey took right to it following the others outside on a nice winter walk down by the lake.
Looking snazzy here with his fresh haircut and borrowed…Continue
1st week has gone incredibly well. He listens and understands the house rules, gets along great with our dogs and anyone he meets: adults, children, and other dogs. Really a big sweet puppy that just needs an active family.
Posing with our family for a Christmas card:…Continue
I had the pleasure of meeting Louie a few weeks ago and he's been my buddy ever since! Like most doodles, he loves his peeps and can usually be found curled up at our feet....or trying to be a lap dog (all 70 pounds of him!) but he's ready to play at every opportunity.
Bogey is a 6 year old neutered male Labradoodle. He's a happy, energetic, 72 lb. pup that had to be re-homed since he is a big guy who really didn't fit well in a city home. Bogey needs a lot of exercise so a place in the country with a large fenced yard or easy access to open space would be ideal.
He loves people and he gets along nicely with our 3 permanent doods, he's very non-aggressive and just a happy dog.
And he's cute!…Continue
Hey there... Filled out an application last week for Busby and got a call back that we would get a call back this weekend from a volunteer (not the foster family). We are still very interested and excited and wanted to see if we could somehow get the ball rolling and give this guy a stable loving home he can spend the rest of his life in :)
I would not leave this in the blog, but for some reason I cannot get past the Captcha security text in the email section on Petfinder…Continue

Just saw on the news in Phoenix, AZ that 9 labradoodles were rescued today from a home. I have already submitted a foster application but was wondering, how are you even aware of doodles in the various state that may need fostering? Are you in contact with the local rescue organizations here?
Its now just a little over two weeks since Miles, as in Davis, aka "Rufus" (in his previous life) came into my life. I am the most blessed person for having the amazing doodle as part of my family.
His life in our quiet, little southern Indiana town began with a early morning "Walk for Fitness" outing where he walked with none other than our very own governor and many children from the local schools. All the children fell instantly in love with Mr. Miles, almost as much as…Continue
I picked up Duke from his foster, Joe Visnyak, on Friday afternoon and we drove straight home so he could become acclimated without too many distractions. We took several walks and spent a few hours at Indian Boundry Park. He slept at the foot of my bed (on my bed by my feet) and made it through the night…Continue
Our darling foster Labradoodle Cocoa took a trip to the beauty parlor today and Maureen, of Ye Olde Poodle Parlor, in San Marcos, CA, did a great job, especially considering how badly this girl's coat was matted. Maureen reported that Cocoa was one of the nicest and best behaved dogs she has ever groomed.…Continue
