Labradoodle Rescue & Goldendoodle Rescue
Bogey spent his first 5 years trapped in a back yard in the Central Valley of California where it rarely snows more than a dusting. This past week we took Bogey and his foster brothers and sister to be groomed since all were looking a bit shaggy and on that day we had our first real snowfall of the winter, about 6". Bogey took right to it following the others outside on a nice winter walk down by the lake.
Looking snazzy here with his fresh haircut and borrowed…Continue
1st week has gone incredibly well. He listens and understands the house rules, gets along great with our dogs and anyone he meets: adults, children, and other dogs. Really a big sweet puppy that just needs an active family.
Posing with our family for a Christmas card:…Continue
I had the pleasure of meeting Louie a few weeks ago and he's been my buddy ever since! Like most doodles, he loves his peeps and can usually be found curled up at our feet....or trying to be a lap dog (all 70 pounds of him!) but he's ready to play at every opportunity.
Bogey is a 6 year old neutered male Labradoodle. He's a happy, energetic, 72 lb. pup that had to be re-homed since he is a big guy who really didn't fit well in a city home. Bogey needs a lot of exercise so a place in the country with a large fenced yard or easy access to open space would be ideal.
He loves people and he gets along nicely with our 3 permanent doods, he's very non-aggressive and just a happy dog.
And he's cute!…Continue
Hey there... Filled out an application last week for Busby and got a call back that we would get a call back this weekend from a volunteer (not the foster family). We are still very interested and excited and wanted to see if we could somehow get the ball rolling and give this guy a stable loving home he can spend the rest of his life in :)
I would not leave this in the blog, but for some reason I cannot get past the Captcha security text in the email section on Petfinder…Continue

Just saw on the news in Phoenix, AZ that 9 labradoodles were rescued today from a home. I have already submitted a foster application but was wondering, how are you even aware of doodles in the various state that may need fostering? Are you in contact with the local rescue organizations here?
Its now just a little over two weeks since Miles, as in Davis, aka "Rufus" (in his previous life) came into my life. I am the most blessed person for having the amazing doodle as part of my family.
His life in our quiet, little southern Indiana town began with a early morning "Walk for Fitness" outing where he walked with none other than our very own governor and many children from the local schools. All the children fell instantly in love with Mr. Miles, almost as much as…Continue
I picked up Duke from his foster, Joe Visnyak, on Friday afternoon and we drove straight home so he could become acclimated without too many distractions. We took several walks and spent a few hours at Indian Boundry Park. He slept at the foot of my bed (on my bed by my feet) and made it through the night…Continue
Our darling foster Labradoodle Cocoa took a trip to the beauty parlor today and Maureen, of Ye Olde Poodle Parlor, in San Marcos, CA, did a great job, especially considering how badly this girl's coat was matted. Maureen reported that Cocoa was one of the nicest and best behaved dogs she has ever groomed.…Continue
I picked up Cocoa from Kelly in Lake Forest about noon today and you would think that she has been with me all her life. She is a darling dog who is badly in need of grooming but that will happen. Right now she is on an antibiotic regimen for a puncture would on her face (which might have been caused by nip from another dog), Kelly, who is a vet, treated the wound and gave me the antibiotics to give Cocoa. We don't want to have her groomed until the wound heals.…Continue
Shiloh is the luckiest Doodle Boy! Today he met his forever family, Debbie and John Stratton. They are heading back home to Georgia, where Shiloh will have a beautiful sister Doodle, Gracie. Welcome Debbie, John, and Gracie to the DRC family. And Shiloh- the Linnells will miss you. You are a sweet boy…
This afternoon we cleaned up some branches from our crepe myrtle trees. Shiloh was a really good helper.
I've got this one…Continue
Eddy is doing fantastic and not showing any behavior issues at all. The only time he has been crated is breakfast and dinner. I have a 31" high child gate that divides our living room. The first couple of days Eddy thought it was a hurdle. Being so tall he could basically walk over the top of it. It only took three times and now he respects it. He doesn't jump up on the counters because he can clearly see what's on them, lol. No guarding issues with food or toys. Last night Eddy,…Continue
Eddy was dropped off at a shelter because his owners got divorced. Once there he was having a hard time adjusting, was determined not a good candidate for adoption and his time was limited. I went down to evaluate him and found the sweetest doodle. The shelter worker told me Eddy was unable to be handled by…Continue
It was time to give Barcley one of his summer haircuts. This is the aftermath. It looks like a massacre has happened in the yard. I wish i could take half of this fur from Barcley and weave some sort of doggy toupee for Lucky's back.…Continue
