Labradoodle Rescue & Goldendoodle Rescue
It's official! We poured over an abundance of wonderful applications and finally narrowed it down to one perfect, forever family for Carter.
The best part of it is that the family is local, so Doris & I got to surprise them on Friday night with the news and most importantly, Carter!
We slapped a blue bow on the little guy, gathered some Carter look-alike cupcakes, and showed up on Ken & Beth's doorstep. They couldn't have been more excited to find out the news, and Carter made himself at home right away. Before we left, he had already discovered the fabulous back yard, a toy basket full of all kinds of toys, and his favorite part, the cabinet where they keep their dog treats!
Even though Carter will be an "only child" at home, Ken & Beth's granddog, Lexie, will be around to play with a lot. Ken & Beth's daughter, Robin, lives nearby, and she brings her dog Lexie to hang out at the house several times a week. Carter got to meet her on Friday night, too, and they got along great.
It was tough to say goodbye to the little snicker-doodle, Doris & I are both super happy that we found the perfect match for him!
Here are some adoption day pics:

Comment by Rosemary Iorio on June 11, 2012 at 12:11pm Congratulations to Ken, Beth & Snicker-doodle........ 60 something years ago, I was born in Odessa, Tx., as my dad was in the Air Force. If only we had stayed there, maybe that adorable little doggie would have been an Iorio.... "ha! ha!" Love the happy family picture.. Libby & Doris, you did it again......
