Harvey's Getting Adopted!

Wednesday evening Harvey will be going to his forever home! Kim came and met Harvey last night and it was love at first sight! Kim is an experienced dog owner and understands that while Harvey is still a bit of a diamond in the rough, he IS a diamond!

Harvey was equally smitten, and by the end of the evening was snuggling with his head on Kim's lap. I let her see calm, snuggly indoors Harvey and goofy, energetic dog-park Harvey. She loved both.

Not only will Harvey have a loving new mommy, but he will have a built-in older brother too! Kim has a 14 year old black standard poodle named Kobi. Kobi's younger brother (Kendo) died earlier this year, and Kobi has been depressed without a kid brother to keep him busy which is what prompted Kim to start looking at adult doodles. As I've mentioned, her long term goal is to adopt one now, and then look at another in a few months (I see a future doodle addict!).

I'm so excited for Harvey...and I'm equally excited for Kim and Kobi!

As always, I'm thankful for the DRC...their tireless work in getting dogs out of terrible situations changes lives every day....and not just the lives of the dogs they are rescuing!
